Been twice
First time usual tourist stuff for 4 days
Second time exploring the not so tourist areas in Brooklyn, Harlem. Bronx and also Coney Island. I liked CI although it was a bit run down, had Nathans hot dogs and went on the Cyclone which was pretty good.

Circle Line ferry is a must. Go for the 2 hour ride, but wear a jacket it gets windy.
Went earlier on in the year and managed to bump into Declan Rice and his family on the Staten Island ferry.

Another vote for the 2 hour Circle Line Cruise. Make sure you take a jacket if it’s not hot. A stroll in Central Park as it will be very colourful at this time of year.
Good steaks at Delmonicos, Peter Luger’s, Bobby Vans and Mark Joseph’s. A very Italian experience at Carmine’s (best to go with other people as the dishes are made for sharing).
There is a nice rooftop bar called The Haven on the roof of The Sanctuary Hotel for an early evening drink. Very close to Times Square.
If you go downtown Stone Street can be good for a nighttime drink. Seaport Plaza is not that far away and worth a little walk around.

Circle line cruise (Do the 2 hour one)
Get cab over to Brooklyn heights, do the views then walk the bridge.
Do NOT go onto statue of liberty (circle line or Staten island ferry can take care of that. The statue had huge queues for fuck all)
